About Me
MKCDesign started in 2019 out of a desire to express my creative side that was missing in my current full time position in the technical role. Prior to my start in refurbishing furniture, I did some home improvement in my home. My home was built in 1994 when we purchased it. So no structural work were needed with the exception of building a new deck and finishing off my basement. Most of my work was cosmetic, but I did lay ceramic floors and backsplash, wallpaper and painting my walls, bathroom cabinets and trim. I like to think that refurbishing furniture is an extension of my home remodel and renovation. I take pride in my work and my abilities.
I was lucky enough to have a father who was a handyman and I learned a great deal from him. Today, I use the internet to help me learn something that I am not quite sure what or how to do a task.
